Composing Music, Singing, writing Software, Reading a good book
Well, the latest release of the widget seems to be pretty stable and good comments are coming in from users. Puzzling think isthathe Yahoo web page relates any of the comments to version 3.5. instead of 4.1! Such are the problems for Yahoo in keeping itself up to date.
My BBC Radio iPLayer Plus widget is improving day by day. It's now up to version 2.9 with further improvements and additional functionality planned.
It already includes the "Listen Again" feature that the BBC provides through its web pages. I've been able to include this for all the UK based BBC stations.
Still no definitive response from the BBC concerning copyright of images/logos so can only assume that it isn't an issue for them.
Well, back from holiday to a hectic round of catching up with things. Not least getting back to singing with the Lincoln Chorale tonight.
With a busy time there, at church, writing software and composing new music there'll not be much time to spare (except for family matters).
Just wrapping things up for about ten days while we have (another) holiday.
It'll allow the Yahoo team to review and approve version 2.5 by the time we get back home.
Work at improving the Widget continues for Version 2.6 with some new and changed features pending release in early September 2007.
Operationally the big changes id that in Version 2.6 the Widget checks to see if RP, WMP, QuickTime or iTunes are running . If one or more of them is running the user is prompted to close before proceeding. This is to attempt to prevent multiple streams of sounds from disparate sources being played at the same time.
This change affects all actions when selecting, activating or maintaining stations but will ignore RP being open if News24 is selected as that is OK.
There are new buttons when in small size to bring up the station list and nudge stations up and down so making it more useful in the small sized player.
Further changes to main player graphic have been made plus a new small player size graphic when changing size of player to round off the corners.
The station text now changes in both size and colour when changing player size.
Finally, at present, the code for managing buttons when changing player size has been changed.
