Entry for 25 April 2007
Well I am going to have a rant this morning
I got my electricity and gas bills on Monday - I suppose it was getting them both together that made me sit and look at just how much I am paying - nearly £100 per month on direct debit
Now as some of you will know, I am married to an electrician - now would you not have thought I would have energy efficient everything in my house, purely because of this fact - well you would be totally and utterly wrong
I have the most un-efficient of light fittings - some of my light fittings (and I have many) are costing 8p an hour to run - that is scandalous and I have instructed him indoors to change them immediately
In the meantime I have reverted to a much more efficient method of lighting my house
Rant over - back in corner now !!!!

Entry for 15 April 2007

Well my week's holiday was officially over yesterday, I went back to work - to be honest I am a workaholic and to be at work suits me just fine as well as being at home - hopefully that doesn't sound too sad !!!!

Having recently become part of a large PLC alot of the challenge and satisfaction has gone from my job and I am struggling to come to terms with that, I am very well paid, obscenely so some might say, but I have worked very hard in the past to justify my salary and now feel that my responsibility is being eroded and I have to find something else to do to justify my existence within the organisation. I have a fear this is going to mean promotion to a more senior role which will mean travelling - this I may have a problem with as it will take me away from home too much and then I will have family issues - but I will have to deal with that at a later date

It's a lovely, warm day outside today - my house is slap bang in the middle of a residential 'smoke free zone' and someone, somewhere is bound to start garden fire which means I will have to close my windows and doors to avoid the wonderful aroma of burning rubber in my lounge

Oh to live in the country or by the sea

School Holidays in Full Swing
Yes the inevitable day has arrived during the school holidays when the Bank of Mum has to open its doors wide - today is the day my daughter gets to spend, spend, spend.
I work full time and regrettably do not get the time to take my daughter shopping much, I work Saturdays and do not really think Sundays are for shopping - we like to chill and rest on Sundays !! So its today folks - look out shops we are on our way
By this evening my bank account will be battered, my lounge floor will be covered with empty bags and boxes and I will be exhausted from the trip

The Day after Easter !!!!
Well I would love to tell you all that I have one of these left but I haven't - my daughter went through our stash like a plague of locusts
What is it about Easter Eggs - why not just buy a big bar of chocolate - my husband bought my daughter an egg that cost £7.00 - there was about £2.50 worth of chocolate in it and a load of nicely coloured paper and cardboard
Maybe I am just getting old and looking twice at my money before I spend it !!!!
