Hello Once More
Well, it's certainly been a while !
Anyway, just a quick note to say i'll be showing new work at this years Southbank Arts trail, in Southville Bristol, again in the lovely Basement Gallery of the Broadway Family.
For further details of the trail, go to www.sbaweb.co.uk, and for more details on the lovely Broadways, go to www.number40.net.
If you're in the area, do come along and say hello, and grab yourself a copy of Browner-Knowle or three, or perhaps an original drawing !
Hope to see you there !
- Entry for 27 July 2008
-
Tried posting this new drawing a couple of days ago, but for some reason it didn't post.Anyway, hope that you like it. It's a continuation of the drawing s i've been doing experimenting with using acryllics with graphite pencil, and in this case, ink.
It's slightly bigger than A4 in size, and is entitled In All Those Times. Enjoy.
- New Drawings
-
Have been very busy the last week or so producing a few new drawings, of which the picture featured, a rememberance, is one. I've decided to move away from images that feature actual narratives, into perhaps more ambiguous narrative pictures.I've also gone back to playing around with acryllic, something I haven't really used that much since University. Also, it's interesting to have adopted a method of drawing on gessoed paper using graphite pencils, which certainly provides an interesting texture to work on. I may post more of these as I do them, if there's anyone out there remotely interested in them.
- BROWNER-KNOWLE ISSUE 2-NOW OUT
-
Of course, as well as the drawings, i was also launching issue 2 of Browner-Knowle zine, the cover of which is featured here. It's available as the previous issue(see previous blog, or check out The Dilly blogspot, as well as ComicBitsOnline, for reviews. Not to mention new SumYo-Yo Stuff books.
You'd do well to stock up now, methinks, before it's too late !
