My flight back to Houston from London was not bad at all. Shared a row with an English teacher (who works in Mexico City), and we had a spare seat between us - always good to be able to spread a little on cramped planes! The flight was 9 hours 30 minutes, a really good flight time. Unfortunately it took ages to get through customs.
So I'm back in Houston and have included a photo of the American flag against one of the Downtown Houston buildings. It felt appropriate.
Getting ready to go to Alaska now, have bought a new camera bag. It's a National Geographic rucksack type and has great functionality. It will take all my camera gear and has spare pockets for other belongings as well (maybe even space for lunch!). Houston is so hot and humid at the moment that it will be nice to be in the cooler climate of Alaska - just hope it's not too cold!

Two weeks up in Torquay - travel to London today for a week. About the right time really, the weather has turned in Devon, no more sunshine filled days, dark clouds and rain fills the sky today.
Nice picture of sunny Devon (Preston Beach in Paignton) to cheer the day!
